Founded in 2021, the Goal Getter Scholarship will award $2,000 each to 5 recipients who show exceptional potential for greatness. We want to help you cross that stage, lessen the load, and get more $$$.

Here's our why:

  1. 70% of college dropouts didn't graduate because of financial roadblocks.1

  2. The average student loan debt after graduation is almost $17K.2

  3. People with a bachelor's degree earn 2x the average weekly wage of non-degree workers.3

Am I eligible?

Goal getters come from all places and all backgrounds. You're a good fit if you:

  1. Plan to enroll in college full-time

    Any U.S. college counts, including 2- or 4-year colleges, graduate schools, or technical schools.

  2. Have a 3.0 GPA

    That's for high school students. For current college students, a 2.5 cumulative GPA works.

  3. Are 18+ years old

    Welcome to adulthood, friends. You can vote, drive, skip curfew, and apply to this scholarship. Enjoy.

The Goal Getter Scholarship is non-renewable, but you can re-apply every year.
Is the scholarship based on financial need?

No, the Goal Getter Scholarship is merit-based. Financial need is not considered during scoring and winner selection.
How do I apply?

You can apply online by answering some general questions about yourself, sharing your school and GPA information, submitting a video, uploading a transcript, recommendation letter and consenting to the official rules. Submitted application materials will be assessed by the Verge Credit scholarship program team. If you have any questions about the application process or need to update your information, please email us directly at Scholarship@VergeCredit.com.

What type of video can I submit?

Your video submission can be anything from a selfie video, filmed in your basement, to a detailed animation. Remember, this isn't about your professional film-making abilities. This is about YOU. We accept the following file types: .mov, mp4, m4v, avi, webm. It can't exceed 100 MB.
How are recipients selected?

We want to find the most goal-getting-est of all, regardless of financial need. So a group of fellow goal getters from Verge Credit will look at academic achievement, personal strengths, leadership and extracurricular accomplishment. Then, they will select and notify the recipients.
How can the scholarship be used?

Scholarship funds are meant to be flexible. They can be used for qualified higher education expenses like tuition, fees, books, class supplies (like scrubs or paint brushes), transportation to and from school, and housing or meal plans.
